In 2025 we began constructing our own soundsystem. Focused on deep bass with a clear kick, this DIY soundsystem is taking shape, and we aim to have it finished in june, right in time for the summer. As we all know too well, the only good system is a soundsystem. The system is being built through community driven workshop-weekends in Tromsø, and the ethos of the process is to share the knowledge and joy of good subwoofers with as many people as possible. This is the spirit we would like to bring to Karlsøya Festivalen 2026. We would like to take on the responsibility of carrying out the Nachspiel, and will invite a range of artists along who will prepare Sandvika with curated objects and plants found in the surrounding area. A sort of land art exhibition paired with really good speakers. The artists playing will be a mix of people connected to Insomnia Festival in Tromsø, exact lineup we’ll figure out later!
We basically have all the DJ equipment including CDJs, turntables, mixer, speakers, cables etc. but we will mainly need a power generator that can output 3000W + w/ inverter, and some DJ tables
